Evelyn Pelati Dombkowski, United States
I’ve been an artist since day one. When I was thirteen years old I decided I was going to make it my career (talk about focused!). And so, I continued on to design school and then a long career as a graphic artist.
Eventually, I discovered the art of metalsmithing. I love it. I’ve been studying and practicing this art form since 2007.
Years ago I thoroughly enjoyed printmaking. I particularly liked to carve wood or linoleum and make block prints. Now I have adapted the printmaking experience to working in metal by way of my hand carving. Graphic artistry also comes to my work through my textural and geometric designs. Clean and uncluttered, my art jewelry is a mix of elegance with industrial, possessing a sophisticated minimalism.
